2022 Guidance from our League President

To the Forest Glade Baseball Family,

It is getting tougher to remain optimistic and write positive messages when we are living in so much
uncertainty. That being said, your FGBL Executive has been preparing for what we hope is a much
more normal looking 2022 season.

FGBL is planning to run both our house league and select programs again this coming season.
Please understand that we don’t have all the specifics. Like last year, we have discussed possible
modifications and want everyone to understand that depending on the number of registered players
this might force the League to play some games on weekends in addition to during the week for
2022.

We are proceeding with a similar registration process to last year. There will be no in-person
registration as we are going to rely on our League website. We will open our on-line registration
via the FGBL website as normal on January 1st to “hold a spot” for the 2022 season. We will NOT
be asking for any payment at this time, instead we will reach out once a season start date is
established (hoping for beginning of May).

It is important that ALL potential players (new or returning) go on-line to “hold a spot”. If there are
maximum caps per division imposed by Baseball/Softball Ontario, we will be using our on-line
registration to determine the potential cut-off. Anyone who registers late may be placed on a waiting
list if that becomes necessary.

In these uncertain times, we recognize that it may be difficult for some families to make a formal
decision without having all the answers. The League does not have a formal vaccination policy in
place and will be governed by any decisions made by our Provincial governing bodies.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to use the Contact Us section of the League
website. Please continue to listen to the guidelines that have been implemented to continue to stay
safe.

Yours in sport,

Rob Adlam
President
Forest Glade Baseball League
