This past weekend, the Forest Glade Baseball League help their annual Summer Classic for U9 & u15 Teams. Thank you to our Executives, Rob A, Michelle, Kevin, Justin, Rich & Steve for all of their assistance & all of those that were out in the park this weekend. A special thanks also goes out to the Diamond Crew: Rob A, Kevin, Steve, coaches Greg Cayea, Dave Brown & parent volunteer Peter Aguis! These giants were out on the diamonds Saturday night after the rain using shop-vacs to remove the water to enable us to play on Sunday.
With all that being said, we’d like to give out a huge congratulations to our 15U Falcons for going undefeated in round-robin play only allowing 7 runs in 3 games.
They held on in the the semis to win 11-10, and beat a tough Kawartha team, 5-4 in the finals.
On the girls’ side, our U13s went out to Oakville to play a tournament. Due to the rain, Oakville canceled their events, but Stouffville stepped up to the plate and ran a tournament of just 4 teams. Our Falcons went 2-0-1 in round-robin to go to the finals where they finished off beating Barrie 7-1 to claim Gold. The girls are undefeated in the last 2 tournament with a record of 8-0-1.
