Weekend Results: June 28th to July 1st, 2024

Congrats to our U13 Girls, 11U, and 13U Boys for great performances this past weekend.

Congratulations to the Falcons U13 Fastpitch team for their Bronze Medal finish in our Annual U13 Fastpitch Select Tournament in Forest Glade.

The Falcons faced both stiff competition and Mother Nature on their way to a 2-3 finish over two long days of play.
After a five hour weather delay to start the tournament, they found themselves on the wrong side of the win column. Dropping their first two games in round robin play with losses to Essex 3-7 and a heartbreaker to Burlington Blue 5-7.
A change of scenery with a move to the Bernie Amlin diamond and a fun game under the lights was all they needed to get their swagger back. They wrapped up day one as fireworks blasted in the skies above with a 9-5 victory over Burlington Grey.

With a chance to earn their way into the Championship game, the girls were back on the diamond, 11 hours later to face the undefeated team from Stouffville. After almost 100 minutes of play, Stouffville pulled off a one run victory in the final inning to put themselves through to the Championship game.

The Falcons had their own business to take care of. They moved back to where they last tasted victory, for a repeat matchup with Essex in the Bronze medal game. A 2-2 defensive battle through 7 innings lead to extra innings, and the Falcons walking away with a 6-4 victory.

Congratulations to the girls! They persevered and were the champs of the Bernie Amlin diamond.

Huge shoutout to our 13U boys for their performance at the Central Little League’s annual John Kaschak Major Friendship tournament! They fought hard and finished the round-robin with a 2-2 record (with wins over Ancaster and LaSalle).

They brought home Bronze in a tough loss to the Ontario Jackals of the Fergie Jenkins Showcase League. We’re extremely proud of how they conducted themselves both on and off the field and look forward to seeing what they can do in London in a few weeks.
A huge congrats to our 11U Select Falcons team for an impressive showing this weekend in the Windsor Central John Kashak Memorial tournament.
An undefeated 3-0 record qualified the Falcons for a bye to the semi finals as winners of their group play followed by wins over the Windsor South Canadians (14-4) in the semi-finals and Windsor South (15-0) in the championship game. The Falcons were locked in defensively allowing only 8 runs total over 5 games to secure the championship.
Great Work Falcons, we’re looking forward to more tournament success this summer!
