Weekend Results: August 23rd to 25th

The #FalconsFamily had another fantastic weekend. Starting off, congratulations to our Squirt Girls All Star Select team for finishing 4th in Ontario this weekend at the OSSTA Provincial Championships in St. Catharines. They worked extremely hard all year and made us incredibly proud.

Our Peewee Boys brought home their 3rd Gold of the year in Amherstburg with a 10-1 win over Lasalle Titans Peewee Major. This win was preceded by a 7-0 win over Lucan-Iderton in the semis, 13-6 win vs Essex Minor, 8-3 win vs Belle River & 5-1 win against the Titans to start off the tournament.

We wish them the best of luck as they make their way to Etobicoke next weekend for SOBAs.

Lastly, our Rookie Ball team participated in the annual Kingsville Minor Baseball Association Select Tournament this weekend to defend our title. They started off Friday by mercying Leamington leading to a 2-1 record in the round robin. They earned a bye into the semi’s where they took on the host Knights. After taking care of business with the Kingsville team, they earned a berth into the finals with none other than Turtle Club. The team they faced in the final in each tournament this year. They had the edge in wins this year 2-1 at this point.

Our Forest Glade Rookie team came out firing on all cylinders as we ended the tournament much like how we started it, with a 19-6 win. What a way to end the season with tournaments in total with 2 gold and 2 silver medals.

Special congrats goes out to Cooper, Jaxon, Logan M, Riley boy, Riley girl, Akira, Logan T, Josh, Keldon, Liam, Ben, Ashton and Bradon. A special thanks also goes out to coaches BJ, Kenji, Paul, Julie and Jay. They couldn’t have done it with out all of your hard work patience and dedication.

Weekend Results: August 16th to 18th

Two of our teams are coming home with big wins this weekend.

Leading off, our Midget Girls Fastpitch Team earned the title of the 2019 OSSTA (Ontario Select Softball Tournament Association) Provincial Champions, beating Erindale by a score of 4-2.

Lastly, our Midget boys participated in the South Shore Select year-end tournament. They started the weekend with a tough loss to the Windsor South Canadians 5-4, then came back Saturday to win 13-1 to place them in the quarter finals Sunday, where the boys won 13-0 against Amherstburg, 14-5 against Essex in the Semis and returned to the Championship game to face off with the South Canadian again winning 13-0.
This makes back to back golds for the midget team in the year end tournament.

For some it’s the end of an era and others the journey still continues, way to make the Falcons soar!
